Green Solutions with ONE LEAF+
ONE LEAF+ (Low Emission-Able Freight) is a suite of sustainable shipping services offered to assist Ocean Network Express’ customers in managing their Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. The "+" signifies ONE’s commitment to advancing beyond standard practices to decarbonize the supply chain.
Our selected biofuel, UCOME (Used Cooking Oil Methyl Ester), cuts well-to-wake CO2 emissions by about 84% compared to standard VLSFO (Very Low Sulfur Fuel Oil).
When you choose ONE LEAF+, you will receive a verification statement which shows that your biofuel is ISCC-certified. (Note: The certificate applies to the physical biofuel consumed, rather than the CO2e calculation methodology).
Technical Specifications and Sample Certificate
Biofuel/UCOME will be consumed on selected vessels.
- Our preference is to issue 1 certificate per year, at the end of the cycle
- At the end of the cycle means: Biofuel has been burned, CO2e savings generated and containers to which customer will allocate CO2e savings have been discharged at PODs
- We can consider issuing certificates every quarter, if required, with a fee of USD 100/certificate
- Quantity of Carbon Savings, Period and Customer name will be indicated on the certificate
Additional Information
- No physical link is required between the generation of the savings and the purchaser
- Savings generated are completely disentangled from the vessel consuming biofuels (B24,B30)
- ONE can sell “as if” the vessel carrying customer shipment was burning purely biofuel (B100)
- B100 will generate approx 84% CO2e savings
- ONE may quote on B100 (84%) or B50 (42%) basis or even 10%, according to customer preferences
